Top 10 Tuesday – Best Book Boy/Girlfriends

Hey hey, it’s Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is run by The Broke and the Bookish, and I’ve loved making it a regular post on this blog! This week, we’re talking about the best book boyfriends and girlfriends, and I’m going to tell you, I go both ways on this one. Meaning about half on this list are boys and half are girls. Because you know what? I like variety in my books. And I like love stories. And I’m trying to read diversely. And have I mentioned I like love stories? All of them. All the love.

Anyway, so these are in no particular order, because ranking them would be cruel. Oh, and it’s the boyfriend/girlfriend of that particular main character, which I’ll try to explain briefly for each one.

Top 5 Wednesday – Favorite Fancasts

Happy Hump Day – it’s Top 5 Wednesday! As a reminder, Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly roundup of cool/fun bookish things that is hosted by Sam over at Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube. You can visit the Goodreads group for topics (and such, as Sam always says). This topic was super difficult for me, not because I don’t want my favorite books to become movies, but because I mostly read YA and don’t know very many young actors anymore! So we’re just going to go with it. I’m sorry I’m casting some adults as teenagers. I know, I know – these aren’t realistic. But this is my fancast, so there! 😛Read More »

Hey hey, it’s Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is run by The Broke and the Bookish, and I’ve been participating since the beginning of July or so – I’m happy that it’s becoming a regular weekly post on this here blog. This week is another fairly open-ended topic – something related to back-to-school. There have been many times in my life since I left college where I thought being an English professor would be fun, and I’m going to play that game now. Since I have 10 books on this list, we’re going to pretend it’s a full-year class, a part 1 in the fall and a part 2 in the spring, because 10 books is a lot for a single semester. My imaginary class is called Brave Women in Books, and I’m super excited about it. So! Without further ado!Read More »

This week was fun, because it was pretty open-ended. I chose to make a list of book recommendations for people who don’t normally read YA, and I’m excited about it, because YA is my jam. I’ll include a brief explanation of who I think each particular book would be good for. I’m so excited! Here we go!Read More »
