Top 10 Tuesday – Favorite Villains (Happy Halloween!)

Hey hey, it’s Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is run by The Broke and the Bookish, and I’ve loved making it a regular post on this blog! This week, we’re talking about our favorite villains, which was honestly a little bit difficult for me! I read so much contemporary and romance and contemporary romance that the “villains” aren’t always established people, if that makes any sense. But no matter – I came up with ten and I’m excited to talk about them! Let’s jump right into this fun Halloween list!Read More »

Top 5 Wednesday – Creepy Settings

Happy Hump Day – it’s Top 5 Wednesday! As a reminder, Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly roundup of cool/fun bookish things that is hosted by Sam over at Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube. You can visit the Goodreads group for topics (and such, as Sam always says). I interpreted this topic a little differently than I’m sure a lot of people will, because I don’t read horror. Top 5 Wednesday – Favorite Fancasts

Happy Hump Day – it’s Top 5 Wednesday! As a reminder, Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly roundup of cool/fun bookish things that is hosted by Sam over at Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube. ARC Review – Beasts Made of Night by Tochi Onyebuchi

There was a time when I had it in my head that I’d write these ARC reviews close to when the books release. Seems very organized, right? Sure does! But then I realized that I COULD NOT WAIT TWO WHOLE MONTHS to talk about this book, so I’m done being organized. I’m going to review ARCs as I read them and sprinkle my backlist reviews throughout. Savvy?

Okay, so. THIS BOOK. When I heard about Beasts Made of Night, I wanted it. When I saw the cover, I WANTED IT. When it came up on First to Read, I CLICKED THE REQUEST BUTTON SO HARD. And I was lucky enough to get a copy, even luckier that it worked perfectly in both #ARCAugust and #TheReadingQuest, and now, here we are. So what’s this book about? It’s got the most fascinating premise.Read More »
